Beef Stroganoff in mushroom sauce





500 g beef (sirloin)

250 g onions

250 g fresh mushrooms

4 tbsp. vegetable oil

1 tsp. mustard

2-3 tbsp. sour cream

salt, ground black pepper



Cut the meat crosswise into pieces 1-2 cm thick, beat with a hammer and cut into strips 3-4 cm long. Cut the onions and mushrooms into circles. Heat 2 tbsp in a frying pan. l. vegetable oil, add chopped mushrooms and onions and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.

Heat the rest of the oil in another bowl, fry the meat in it, remove it to a plate with a slotted spoon, drain the oil well, add to the onions and mushrooms, add salt, sprinkle with pepper and mix with mustard.

Place the frying pan with the resulting sauce on low heat, transfer the meat there, add sour cream, stir, cover the frying pan with a lid, keep on the fire for another 3 minutes and remove from the stove.
